Purdue-led project awarded $5 million for Greater Lafayette to grow semiconductor industry workforce

WEST LAFAYETTE — A Purdue College-led venture will obtain $5 million in funding via a Better Lafayette economic enhancement initiative to support the anticipated regional workforce demand from customers in the promising semiconductor producing field, Purdue and group officials announced Wednesday (Dec. 7).

Purdue partnered on a Higher Lafayette Commerce proposal that highlighted around 40 regional jobs made to keep and attract workforce expertise by means of the condition of Indiana’s Regional Financial Acceleration and Advancement Initiative, or READI.
