University recognizes electrical and computer engineering professor with scholar award | WMU News
KALAMAZOO, Mich.—Dr. Massood Atashbar will be offered with Western Michigan University’s Distinguished College Scholar Award through the Slide Convocation ceremony.
School preferred for the Distinguished School Scholar Award are honored on the foundation of fantastic creative, literary, philosophical, historic, technical or scientific accomplishment, bringing vast recognition from the academic community beyond Western’s campus.
Atashbar, professor of electrical and computer system engineering, will be acknowledged throughout the occasion on Friday, Sept. 16, at 11:30 a.m. in the North Ballroom on the second ground of the Bernhard Middle. Also getting awards at Fall Convocation are recipients of 4 other prestigious campuswide honors: Distinguished Company, Distinguished Training, Rising Scholar and annual Make a Variation awards.

Atashbar joined Western’s college in 1999 after finishing his postdoctoral degree at Penn Condition College.
